After Hitachi announced that it will close its representative and sales offices in Argentina, the company’s distributors and local subsidiaries assured that the company’s operations will normally continue in the country.
Thus, the subsidiary Hitachi Vantara (HV) and Grupo Radio Victoria, distributor of the Japanese firm in the country, confirmed the continuity of its operations in Argentina. In the first case, HV clarified that “it is not part of the reorganization announced by Hitachi South America,” which will concentrate its regional operations in Brazil.
“We hope that 2019 will continue to be a year of investments in the technology industry, given that it is a key factor for companies to improve their performance and competitiveness,” HV general manager for South America Hispana Daniel Scarafia remarked.
For its part, Radio Victoria stressed that the closure of the corporate office of Hitachi South America “does not affect in any way its production and distribution of consumer electronics products, which will continue unchanged.”
“Following the success of the strategy of globalization and development of the Hitachi Group, the Japanese company developed numerous strategic alliances that include partnerships through subsidiaries and joint projects in the production of goods related to computer technology and artificial intelligence, railway systems, and transmission and generation of electric power, among other industries with strong presence in the region, “the company said.
As he explained, “Hitachi had in recent years strong growth and positioning in the TV market, air conditioners, appliances, small appliances and audio.” And “for this reason the company has strong plans to increase its participation in the Argentine market.”
“This strategy is reflected in the continuous work in its factory, in the realization of new investments and in the increase of presence in the points of sale, as well as in a strong advertising presence in the media, besides being the main sponsor of Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield “, concluded Radio Victoria.
